Host Home Providers (HHPs) provide a safe, supportive home environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Host Home Provider, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life by supporting their independence, personal goals, daily living needs, and connection to the community.

At Safe Harbor Supports and Services, we are looking for compassionate, dependable individuals and families who are interested in welcoming a person into their home and providing individualized, person-centered support.

What Does a Host Home Provider Do?

As a Host Home Provider, you may support an individual with:

• Daily living skills and personal care

• Meal preparation and household routines

• Medication support, when applicable

• Transportation to appointments and community activities

• Building independence and life skills

• Community participation and meaningful activities

• Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home

• Working collaboratively with the individual's family, support team, and Safe Harbor

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for individuals who are patient, dependable, compassionate, and committed to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Previous caregiving or IDD experience is helpful, but we can explain the training and qualification requirements during the application and screening process.
